Christian International Training Centre (CITC) is a Christian charity registered and regulated by the SCIO (Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation) under number: SC049352.   This privacy policy sets out how Christian International Training Centre (CITC) uses and protects any information that you give CITC. CITC is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

What information we collect

Information that you give us from forms that you have filled in on our website or any other means. The information you give us may include but not limited to personal data such as:

  • Name, title, address, telephone numbers, email addresses, contact information, date of birth, church information, personal description, health & marital status and/or photographs etc.

  • General administration of CITC, e.g. pastoral care, preparation of classes and events, recording attendance, maintaining financial records of giving for audit and tax purposes;
  • Contacting you to keep you informed of CITC’s activities and events;
  • Informing you on upcoming classes and academic information;
  • Performing statistical analysis in a bid to help CITC be more responsive to the needs of you;
  • Ensuring CITC provides the best care and support possible.

How will CITC uses your data?

  • As a charity, we hold records of the people in our organisation, volunteers, guest and service users and use this information to coordinate activities;
  • To keep you informed of things happening from the CITC’s academic for registered students;
  • To keep you updated with newsletter to our supporters;
  • To keep you connected via email on the latest events and news at CITC and other affiliated organisations, if you have consented for us to do so;
  • To maintain accurate and up to date records of our registered students, Xpace members, volunteers and supporters;
  • To manage, administer our website and for internal operations, including troubleshooting, data analysis, user experience research, statistical and survey purposes;
  • To improve our website to ensure that content is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your device.

Where do we store your data?

  • We are committed to holding your personal information securely. Only CITC staff and authorised volunteers that need to see the data can access it;
  • We may store your information on computers (on hard drives, or use cloud-based storage such as Google workspace, Newsletter platform, and at our website developer), in paper form, or both;
  • All computers that store any personal data are password protected;
  • Any paper files that hold personal information (other than names and contact details) are kept on secure premises in locked cupboards or filing cabinets;
  • The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this policy;

Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.
